  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CART1 (Cocaine- and Amphetamine-Regulated Transcript 1) is a neuropeptide that plays a significant role in the regulation of several physiological processes, including appetite control, reward pathways, and stress response. Originally discovered in the context of substance abuse, CART1 has garnered interest for its involvement in various neuropsychiatric disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Research has shown that CART1 is expressed in specific brain regions associated with these functions, suggesting its critical role as a signaling molecule. The recombinant protein form of CART1 is particularly valuable for studying its mechanisms of action, cellular interactions, and potential therapeutic applications. By producing CART1 in a laboratory setting, researchers can investigate its effects on neuronal signaling pathways and provide insight into its role in both healthy and pathological states. Furthermore, understanding CART1’s structure-activity relationship can help in the development of novel pharmacological agents targeting its signaling pathways, thus paving the way for innovative treatments for disorders linked to dysregulated CART1 expression. As the scientific community continues to explore the diverse functions of CART1, the recombinant protein serves as an essential tool for elucidating its biological significance and therapeutic potential.
