Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CAPN12, or Calpain-12, is a member of the calpain family of cysteine proteases, which play critical roles in various cellular processes, including signal transduction, cytoskeletal remodeling, and apoptosis. Unlike other calpains, CAPN12 is primarily expressed in specific tissues, suggesting a specialized function in physiological and pathological contexts. Recent studies have implicated CAPN12 in metabolic disorders and inflammatory responses, leading researchers to explore its potential as a therapeutic target for conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, the protein's unique regulatory mechanisms and tissue-specific expression patterns have prompted interest in its role in muscle physiology and development. The generation of recombinant CAPN12 proteins enables detailed functional studies and the examination of its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interaction with other cellular components. These insights could help elucidate the molecular pathways in which CAPN12 is involved, paving the way for the development of novel intervention strategies aimed at mitigating diseases linked to calpain dysregulation. The ongoing research into CAPN12 also highlights the importance of understanding the diverse roles of calpains in human health and disease, providing a foundation for future investigations into their biological significance and potential clinical applications.
