Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RDHE2, or Retinol Dehydrogenase 2, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of retinoids, which are essential for various biological processes, including vision, cellular differentiation, and embryonic development. Understanding RDHE2 is particularly important due to its involvement in the conversion of retinol (vitamin A alcohol) to retinal (vitamin A aldehyde) in the visual cycle, a fundamental process for phototransduction in the retina. Abnormalities in retinoid metabolism can lead to ocular diseases, developmental disorders, and other pathologies. Research into RDHE2 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate its structure-function relationships, regulatory mechanisms, and interactions with other proteins in the retinoid metabolic pathway. By producing RDHE2 as a recombinant protein, researchers can conduct detailed biochemical assays, structural studies, and enzyme activity evaluations, thereby gaining insights into its functional roles and potential therapeutic targets. Furthermore, studying RDHE2 could reveal critical information for developing interventions for retinol-related disorders, emphasizing the enzyme's significance in both fundamental science and clinical applications.
