Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
C9orf98, a gene located on chromosome 9, encodes a protein that has been implicated in various cellular processes, including cell signaling and development. Recent studies have highlighted its potential role in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in the context of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), where mutations in the gene can lead to dysregulation of RNA metabolism and cellular homeostasis. Research has focused on the recombinant expression of C9orf98 to elucidate its functional properties and interactions with other proteins, as well as to explore its potential as a biomarker for these diseases. By utilizing advanced biochemical techniques, scientists aim to characterize the protein's structure, determine its binding partners, and understand its role in neuronal cell fate. This study of C9orf98 recombinant protein not only contributes to the basic understanding of its biological functions but also has implications for the development of therapeutic strategies targeting the molecular pathways involved in neurodegeneration. Overall, the investigation into C9orf98 is crucial for unraveling the complexities of ALS and FTD, advancing our knowledge, and potentially leading to new treatment paradigms for these debilitating conditions.
