Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTK2B, also known as FAK2 (focal adhesion kinase 2), is a member of the focal adhesion kinase family, which plays a crucial role in cell signaling, migration, and adhesion. PTK2B is largely expressed in the brain and is thought to be involved in various neurological processes. Research indicates that PTK2B may contribute to synaptic plasticity, learning, and memory formation through its role in regulating neuronal signaling pathways. Notably, variations in the PTK2B gene have been linked to an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggesting that its proper function is vital for maintaining neuronal health. The study of PTK2B recombinant proteins can aid in elucidating its biochemical properties and functional mechanisms, providing insights into its role in neural development and disease. Additionally, recombinant PTK2B proteins can serve as valuable tools for drug discovery and therapeutic interventions aimed at modulating its activity, highlighting the importance of ongoing research in this area to better understand PTK2B's implications in both healthy and diseased states.
