Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ANGPTL8, also known as betatrophin, is a protein that has garnered significant interest in the field of metabolic research due to its potential role in glucose and lipid metabolism. First identified in 2013, ANGPTL8 is secreted by various tissues, including the liver and adipose tissue, and is believed to influence insulin sensitivity and lipoprotein metabolism. Investigations have revealed that ANGPTL8 can affect the regulation of triglyceride levels and play a part in the development of insulin resistance, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Researchers are particularly focused on elucidating its mechanisms of action, interactions with other metabolic regulators, and its overall impact on energy homeostasis. The recombinant form of ANGPTL8 is being explored for its therapeutic potential and as a biomarker for metabolic diseases. As the prevalence of metabolic disorders continues to rise globally, understanding ANGPTL8 may provide crucial insights for developing effective treatments and preventive strategies. This research not only highlights the protein's significance in metabolic pathways but also underscores the need for further studies to fully unravel its biological functions and therapeutic applications.
