Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT3, or Polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 3, is a crucial enzyme involved in the glycosylation of proteins, specifically in the addition of N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) residues to serine and threonine residues of target proteins. It plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell signaling, differentiation, and the development of certain tissues. Abnormal GALNT3 activity has been linked to several diseases, notably the autoimmune disorder known as familial hyperphosphatemic tumoral calcinosis, characterized by hyperphosphatemia and ectopic calcification. As a result, GALNT3 has garnered attention in biomedical research for its potential implications in understanding disease mechanisms and exploring therapeutic avenues. The production of recombinant GALNT3 protein allows researchers to study its biochemical properties, substrate specificity, and effects on cellular functions, paving the way for potential interventions in glycosylation-related disorders. Additionally, the availability of this enzyme provides a platform for investigating the broader roles of glycosylation in health and disease, opening new avenues for treatment strategies targeting glycosylation pathways.
