  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The LDB3 protein, an essential component of the cardiac muscle, plays a critical role in the structural and functional integrity of the sarcomere, which is fundamental for muscle contraction. LDB3, also known as LJ1 (Limb- and Heart-specific) or C1QBP-related protein, is part of the LDB family of transcriptional co-regulators. Mutations or dysregulation of LDB3 have been linked to various cardiomyopathies, which highlight its importance in maintaining heart health. Research has increasingly focused on the interaction of LDB3 with other proteins involved in sarcomere assembly and maintenance, as well as its role in gene expression regulation during cardiac development. Given the rising prevalence of heart diseases globally, understanding the molecular mechanisms involving LDB3 provides insights into potential therapeutic targets for cardiomyopathies. Recent studies have also explored the protein's involvement in cellular pathways that respond to stress, further emphasizing its significance in cardiac pathophysiology. The ongoing investigation into LDB3 not only seeks to elucidate its functional roles but also aims to characterize its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in cardiovascular diseases, making it a focal point in contemporary cardiovascular research.
