Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KLK6 (Kallikrein-related peptidase 6), a member of the kallikrein family of serine proteases, has gained attention in recent years due to its potential roles in various physiological and pathological processes. Initially identified for its involvement in tissue remodeling and the activation of other proteolytic enzymes, KLK6 has been linked to cancer progression, inflammation, and neurodegenerative diseases. Its expression levels vary significantly across different tissues, with notable upregulation observed in several malignancies, particularly breast and prostate cancers, suggesting its utility as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target. Research has shown that KLK6 may contribute to tumor invasion and metastasis through the degradation of the extracellular matrix and modulation of inflammatory responses. Furthermore, studies indicate a possible neuroprotective role in the central nervous system, although its precise functions remain unclear. The recombinant form of KLK6 is being developed for further exploration of its biological activities and therapeutic applications. By generating recombinant KLK6 proteins, researchers aim to elucidate the enzyme's substrate specificity, regulatory mechanisms, and functional implications in disease states. This research is critical for advancing our understanding of KLK6's role in health and disease and may pave the way for novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies targeting KLK6-related pathways.
