Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IZUMO1R is a receptor critical for sperm-egg fusion, playing a vital role in mammalian fertilization. It is known to interact with the IZUMO1 protein on sperm, initiating the binding process that leads to successful fertilization. The study of IZUMO1R has gained significant attention in reproductive biology, particularly in understanding infertility mechanisms. Various studies have indicated that defects in IZUMO1R or its signaling pathways can lead to infertility due to impaired sperm-egg interactions. Moreover, the potential application of IZUMO1R in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) has sparked interest, as targeting this receptor could enhance the efficiency of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. Researchers have been particularly focused on generating recombinant IZUMO1R proteins to study their structure, function, and interactions in detail. This includes exploring post-translational modifications and their impact on receptor activity, as well as developing assays to evaluate IZUMO1R's role in sperm-egg binding. By elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying IZUMO1R function, researchers aim to improve fertility treatments and provide insights into species-specific reproductive strategies, ultimately contributing to better outcomes in ART and advancing the field of reproductive health.
