Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CYP11B2, also known as aldosterone synthase, is a pivotal enzyme in the steroidogenic pathway, specifically responsible for the biosynthesis of aldosterone in the adrenal cortex. Its activity plays a crucial role in regulating electrolyte balance and blood pressure by promoting sodium retention and potassium excretion. Dysregulation of CYP11B2 is linked to various health conditions, including hypertension and heart failure, making it a key target for therapeutic intervention. The study of recombinant CYP11B2 protein is essential for understanding its enzymatic function and regulatory mechanisms. Producing this protein through recombinant DNA technology allows researchers to obtain large quantities of pure enzyme for in vitro studies, facilitating investigations into its kinetic properties, substrate specificity, and interaction with various inhibitors. Furthermore, recombinant CYP11B2 can be utilized in drug screening assays aimed at developing novel antihypertensive agents. Understanding the molecular dynamics and structural characteristics of CYP11B2 can also provide insights into its role in pathology and pave the way for targeted therapies against diseases associated with aldosterone dysregulation. Overall, the research on recombinant CYP11B2 not only enhances our comprehension of steroid metabolism but also holds significant potential for advancing cardiovascular disease management.
