  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GPC1 (Glypican-1) is a cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycan that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue development. It has garnered significant attention in cancer research, particularly as it is known to be upregulated in multiple tumor types, including pancreatic cancer, where it contributes to tumor growth and metastasis by modulating signaling pathways and the tumor microenvironment. The study of GPC1 recombinant proteins is essential for understanding its functional roles and mechanisms in oncogenesis. These recombinant proteins serve as valuable tools for elucidating GPC1's interactions with ligands, receptors, and other cellular components, enabling researchers to explore its potential as a therapeutic target. Moreover, the development of GPC1-targeting therapies and diagnostic markers is heightened by its involvement in cancer progression and its association with exosomes in the circulation, which could provide biomarkers for early detection and prognosis in malignancies. Thus, ongoing research into GPC1 and its recombinant forms is pivotal for advancing cancer biology and developing innovative treatment strategies.
