Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IZUMO4 is a member of the IZUMO family of proteins, which play critical roles in mammalian reproduction, particularly in the fertilization process. The IZUMO proteins are primarily expressed in sperm and are involved in the interaction with oocytes, facilitating the binding and fusion necessary for sperm-egg fusion. The study of IZUMO4, in particular, has garnered attention due to its potential implications in reproductive biology and fertility treatments. Recent research has suggested that IZUMO4 may have unique functions that distinguish it from other members of the IZUMO family, such as IZUMO1, which is essential for sperm-egg binding. Understanding the structure and function of the IZUMO4 protein could provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying fertilization. Additionally, characterizing its interactions with egg-specific receptors and other seminal factors may pave the way for innovative approaches to address infertility issues. Recombinant IZUMO4 proteins are being developed for further studies to elucidate their functional roles and interactions within the reproductive system. This research not only aims to enhance our understanding of fertilization but also opens new avenues for therapeutic interventions in reproductive health, highlighting the importance of continued exploration in this specialized field of study.
