Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
POTED, short for "Potassium Transporter Enhancer Domain," has emerged as a significant focus in the field of protein research due to its critical role in cellular ion homeostasis. Understanding POTED's function is imperative for elucidating the mechanisms of potassium ion transport, which is essential for various physiological processes including nerve impulse conduction, muscle contraction, and cell signaling. Researchers have turned their attention to the structural and functional characterization of POTED through recombinant protein technology, enabling the production of this protein in a controlled laboratory setting. By expressing POTED in host systems such as bacteria or yeast, scientists aim to investigate its interactions with other cellular components and its influence on potassium transport dynamics. This research not only contributes to our fundamental understanding of ion transport but also has potential implications for developing therapeutic strategies for disorders associated with ion imbalances, such as hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias. The ongoing studies on POTED are paving the way for novel insights into the regulatory mechanisms governing potassium channels, reinforcing its importance in both basic biochemistry and medical applications.
