Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PORCN (porcupine O-acyltransferase) is a critical enzyme involved in the Wnt signaling pathway, a key regulator of cell growth, differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and developmental anomalies. PORCN catalyzes the palmitoylation of Wnt ligands, a modification necessary for their secretion and signaling capacity. Due to its pivotal role, PORCN has emerged as an attractive therapeutic target for the development of small-molecule inhibitors aimed at modulating Wnt signaling in pathological conditions. Research into PORCN has expanded our understanding of Wnt biology and its influence on stem cell behavior and tumorigenesis, highlighting the enzyme's potential in both basic and translational research. The ongoing study of PORCN-recombinant proteins aims to elucidate the finer mechanistic details of palmitoylation and its effects on the Wnt signaling cascade. These efforts provide a foundation for innovative treatment strategies targeting PORCN-related pathways, potentially leading to novel interventions for diseases driven by aberrant Wnt signaling.
