Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PKMYT1, a member of the MYT family of Ser/Thr kinases, has garnered attention in recent years due to its critical role in cell cycle regulation and tumorigenesis. This kinase is primarily known for its function in phosphorylating CDK1 and CDK2, which are essential cyclin-dependent kinases involved in cell cycle progression. By inhibiting these kinases, PKMYT1 plays a pivotal role in preventing premature entry into mitosis, thereby maintaining genomic stability. Dysregulation of PKMYT1 has been implicated in various cancers, suggesting that it may serve as a potential biomarker or therapeutic target. Furthermore, studies have shown that PKMYT1 expression can be modulated by various signaling pathways, including those activated by DNA damage. Understanding the structural and functional aspects of PKMYT1 through recombinant protein studies could provide deeper insights into its regulatory mechanisms and interactions with other cell cycle proteins. This research is increasingly relevant as it may inform the development of novel cancer therapies that selectively target aberrant cell cycle regulation while sparing normal cells. Therefore, ongoing investigations into the biochemistry of PKMYT1, including its kinase activity, substrate specificity, and roles in cellular signaling, are essential for elucidating its contributions to both normal physiology and cancer pathology.
