Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BAI2 (Brain-specific Angiogenesis Inhibitor 2) is a member of the BAI family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that plays a pivotal role in various physiological and pathological processes, including brain development, angiogenesis, and tumor suppression. Research has shown that BAI2 is primarily expressed in the brain and is involved in neuronal signaling and cell adhesion. Alterations in BAI2 activity have been linked to several neurodevelopmental disorders and cancers, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of BAI2, particularly its interactions with ligands and downstream signaling pathways. The reconstitution of BAI2 as a recombinant protein provides a valuable tool for investigating its biological functions and interactions in a controlled environment. This research aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying BAI2's role in neuronal health and disease, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting BAI2 in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and tumors.
