Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SMDT1 (Sleep-Mediated Dimerization Transcription factor 1) is a critical protein involved in various biological processes, particularly in regulation of gene expression linked to sleep and circadian rhythms. Understanding its structure and function is significant due to its implications in sleep disorders, metabolic syndromes, and other health issues. Recent studies have revealed that SMDT1 plays a role in modulating the expression of genes associated with the sleep-wake cycle, thus influencing behavior and physiological responses. The protein's dimerization process is essential for its activity, suggesting a complex regulatory mechanism. Consequently, researchers have focused on the recombinant production of SMDT1 to investigate its properties in detail, aiming to elucidate its role in transcriptional regulation and its potential as a therapeutic target. The recombinant SMDT1 protein allows for in vitro studies, enabling the exploration of its interactions with other biomolecules and its effects on gene transcription. This research ultimately seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of how SMDT1 impacts sleep regulation and related disorders, paving the way for potential interventions in sleep-related conditions and enhancing overall health.
