Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PHKG1, or phosphorylase kinase gamma-1, is a key enzyme that plays a crucial role in glycogen metabolism, specifically in the regulation of glycogenolysis. The enzyme is part of a larger multi-subunit complex that is activated by calcium ions and phosphorylated by protein kinase A, thus linking hormonal signals to glycogen breakdown in muscle and liver tissues. Abnormalities in PHKG1 activity have been associated with various metabolic disorders, including glycogen storage diseases, highlighting its importance in maintaining glucose homeostasis. Research into PHKG1 recombinant protein has gained momentum due to its potential applications in understanding glycogen metabolism at a molecular level and its implications in therapeutic strategies for treating metabolic diseases. Characterizing the biochemical properties of recombinant PHKG1 can provide insights into its regulatory mechanisms and interactome, aiding in the development of targeted treatments for individuals with enzyme deficiencies or metabolic syndromes. Furthermore, the production and purification of recombinant PHKG1 offer a valuable tool for studying structure-function relationships and developing specific inhibitors that could modulate its activity, thereby impacting glycogen storage and utilization in various clinical contexts. Overall, the investigation of PHKG1 and its recombinant forms is critical for illuminating the complexities of carbohydrate metabolism and advancing our knowledge of associated health issues.
