Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX6, a member of the peroxin family, plays a pivotal role in the biogenesis and functioning of peroxisomes, essential organelles involved in lipid metabolism and the detoxification of reactive oxygen species. Mutations in the PEX6 gene have been implicated in Zellweger syndrome and other peroxisomal disorders, which are characterized by severe neurological deficits and developmental abnormalities. The protein functions as an ATPase that interacts with peroxisomal transporters to facilitate the import of proteins into peroxisomes. Research on PEX6 has focused on understanding its structure, function, and interactions with other peroxins, as well as its role in the pathophysiology of peroxisomal disorders. Advances in protein expression systems, such as recombinant protein technology, have enabled the production of PEX6 for biochemical and structural studies, providing insights into its mechanistic role in peroxisomal assembly. Investigating PEX6 not only enhances our understanding of peroxisomal biogenesis but also offers potential therapeutic avenues for treating related genetic disorders through gene therapy or small molecule treatments aimed at restoring normal function of the peroxisomal pathways. As research continues to unravel the complexities of PEX6 and its interactions, it holds promise for contributing to novel strategies to mitigate the effects of peroxisomal biogenesis disorders and improve patient outcomes.
