Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of the recombinant protein PDPK2, or pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 2, is rooted in its critical role in cellular metabolism and energy homeostasis. PDPK2 is an enzyme that modulates the activity of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which is pivotal in the conversion of pyruvate to acetyl-CoA, a key metabolic substrate for the citric acid cycle. Dysregulation of PDPK2 has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and cancer, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Researchers have increasingly focused on characterizing recombinant PDPK2 to elucidate its enzymatic properties, regulatory mechanisms, and interaction with other metabolic pathways. By producing this protein in recombinant systems, scientists can study its structure-function relationship, identify novel inhibitors, and explore its role within the broader context of metabolic signaling pathways. Understanding PDPK2's function may pave the way for innovative treatments that target metabolic disorders and enhance our comprehension of its involvement in disease progression.
