Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UCK2 (Uridine-Cytidine Kinase 2) is a notable enzyme in the nucleotide metabolism pathway, primarily responsible for the phosphorylation of uridine and cytidine. Its role in cellular processes such as RNA synthesis and cellular energy metabolism underscores its potential significance in both physiological and pathological contexts. UCK2 has been implicated in various diseases, particularly in cancers, where dysregulation of nucleotide metabolism can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and survival. Given its association with tumor progression, UCK2 is emerging as a promising target for therapeutic intervention. Furthermore, studying UCK2 and its biochemical properties, including its enzymatic activity and substrate specificity, is essential for understanding its functional roles within different biological systems. Advances in recombinant protein technology have made it feasible to produce UCK2 in vitro, allowing researchers to explore its structure-function relationships, potential as a biomarker, and efficacy as a drug target. The ongoing research into UCK2 not only enhances our knowledge of nucleotide metabolism but also aids in the search for novel therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to its dysfunction.
