Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHB13, or Protocadherin Beta 13, is a member of the protocadherin family, a group of cell adhesion molecules that play crucial roles in neural development and synaptic functions. Research into PCDHB13 has revealed its potential significance in various biological processes, including cell-cell adhesion, neuronal survival, and signal transduction in the nervous system. Its expression is particularly prominent in the brain, suggesting a vital role in neural circuit assembly and stability. Given the involvement of protocadherins in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, understanding the structure and function of PCDHB13 at a molecular level is essential for elucidating its role in disease mechanisms. Recent studies have focused on the generation of recombinant PCDHB13 proteins to investigate their biophysical properties, binding affinities, and interaction partners, facilitating insights into the molecular pathways associated with PCDHB13. The recombinant protein serves as a valuable tool for exploring its functionality in cell adhesion assays and its impact on neuronal differentiation and connectivity. Such research could pave the way for therapeutic strategies targeting PCDHB13 in conditions such as autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, and other neurodevelopmental abnormalities, making it a significant focus in contemporary neurobiological studies.
