Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHB12 (Protocadherin Beta 12) is a member of the protocadherin family, which comprises a group of cell adhesion molecules playing crucial roles in the development and function of the nervous system. Protocadherins are involved in mediating cell-cell interactions and establishing synaptic connections, essential for neuronal stability and communication. Recent studies have highlighted the significance of PCDHB12 in neurodevelopmental processes and its potential association with neurological disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia. The expression patterns of PCDHB12 during brain development suggest it may be important in guiding neuronal migration and differentiation. As a result, researchers are interested in characterizing the PCDHB12 recombinant protein to better understand its structure, function, and interactions within the cellular environment. This includes studying its role in calcium-dependent cell adhesion, investigating its signaling pathways, and elucidating how its dysregulation may lead to neurodevelopmental anomalies. By generating and analyzing PCDHB12 recombinant protein, scientists aim to pave the way for therapeutic strategies that target protocadherin-related pathways, ultimately contributing to improved outcomes for individuals affected by related disorders.
