Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PCDHb3, or protocadherin beta 3, is part of a large family of cadherin-related proteins that play critical roles in the development and maintenance of neuronal circuits. These proteins are involved in cell adhesion and signaling processes that influence neuronal development, including axon guidance, synapse formation, and neuronal survival. Given the complexity of neuronal networks and the precise regulation required for proper brain function, studying protocadherins like PCDHb3 is vital for understanding neurological conditions and disorders. Research has shown that variations in protocadherin expression can contribute to various neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders, making PCDHb3 a compelling target for therapeutic interventions. Furthermore, the necessity for reliable recombinant proteins for functional assays and structural studies has propelled investigations into the expression and purification of PCDHb3. Understanding its mechanisms and interactions at a molecular level can yield insights into its specific roles in neural tissues and potentially highlight novel strategies for addressing mental health challenges. Thus, the study of PCDHb3 recombinant protein not only aims to elucidate its biological functions but also seeks to uncover its implications in health and disease, contributing to the broader understanding of brain biology and the development of new treatment modalities.
