Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR6B2 is a member of the olfactory receptor (OR) family, which plays a crucial role in the sensory perception of odors. It is encoded by the OR6B2 gene located on human chromosome 1. Research into OR6B2 has gained significance due to its potential implications in the understanding of the olfactory system and its associated disorders, as well as its relevance in the field of biosensing and synthetic biology. With growing evidence suggesting that olfactory receptors may participate in non-olfactory roles, such as modulating various physiological processes, studying recombinant OR6B2 protein could provide insights into its functional mechanisms and broader biological relevance. The expression and purification of this recombinant protein enable detailed investigations, including ligand-binding assays and structural studies, which are essential for elucidating its activity and interactions. Furthermore, understanding the signaling pathways activated by OR6B2 may contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for conditions related to olfactory dysfunction or other diseases linked to olfactory receptor signaling. As scientific exploration of olfactory receptors continues to expand, research on OR6B2 presents an exciting avenue for unraveling the complexities of sensory biology and its applications in health and technology.
