Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALKBH7, a member of the AlkB family of dioxygenases, has garnered attention for its role in RNA and DNA demethylation processes. This protein's primary function involves the removal of various methyl groups from RNA molecules, which can significantly influence gene expression and cellular function. Research has shown that ALKBH7 is involved in critical biological processes, including stem cell maintenance, differentiation, and responses to environmental stresses. Its dysfunction has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, where aberrant methylation patterns can disrupt normal cellular processes. The study of recombinant ALKBH7 proteins has been pivotal in elucidating the enzyme's mechanisms and substrate specificity, as well as its potential therapeutic applications. By expressing and purifying ALKBH7 in vitro, researchers aim to better understand its biophysical properties and interactions with nucleic acids. Moreover, understanding how ALKBH7 interacts with other cellular pathways can provide insights into its broader biological roles and potential as a drug target. The ongoing investigation into ALKBH7 holds promise not only for advancing our knowledge of epigenetic regulation but also for developing novel approaches in treating diseases linked to methylation dysregulation.
