Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The ALKBH4 protein, a member of the AlkB family of dioxygenases, has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential roles in RNA metabolism and cellular stress responses. Research indicates that ALKBH4 is involved in the oxidative demethylation of nucleobases, particularly 1-methyladenosine (m1A) in messenger RNA (mRNA) and transfer RNA (tRNA), impacting RNA stability and translation. Understanding the biochemical mechanisms underlying ALKBH4 function is critical, as dysregulation of this protein has been associated with various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. The recombinant expression of ALKBH4 enables scientists to study its structural and functional properties in detail, offering insights into its enzymatic activity and substrate specificity. Moreover, exploring ALKBH4’s interactions with other cellular components can reveal its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation and overall cellular homeostasis. As research progresses, ALKBH4 may emerge as a potential therapeutic target or biomarker, underscoring the importance of ongoing studies in elucidating its contributions to health and disease.
