Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AKR1CL2, a member of the aldo-keto reductase (AKR) superfamily, is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of various endogenous and exogenous compounds, including steroid hormones, catecholamines, and drugs. This enzyme plays a crucial role in regulating physiological processes through the reduction of carbonyl groups in these compounds, which can affect their biological activity and detoxification. Given its potential implications in diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders, researchers have increasingly focused on exploring the functional characteristics of AKR1CL2, its substrate specificity, and its expression patterns in different tissues. The importance of AKR enzymes in pharmacology and toxicology further underscores the need to understand AKR1CL2's role in metabolic pathways. Recent studies utilizing recombinant protein expression technologies have enabled the detailed investigation of AKR1CL2's structure-function relationships, providing insights into its catalytic mechanisms and potential as a therapeutic target. Overall, the study of AKR1CL2 not only enhances our comprehension of metabolic regulation but also opens avenues for novel drug development and disease treatment strategies.
