Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Akr1b3, or Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B3, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of various endogenous and exogenous substrates, including sugars and toxic compounds. In the context of cancer and metabolic disorders, Akr1b3 has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in the reduction of toxic aldehydes and its potential role in drug resistance. Research has shown that Akr1b3 can influence the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemotherapy by modulating the levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and affecting cellular stress responses. Additionally, alterations in Akr1b3 expression have been linked to various pathological conditions, making it a potential biomarker for disease progression. The recombinant expression of Akr1b3 has facilitated in-depth studies of its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and the structural basis of its function. Understanding the mechanisms by which Akr1b3 operates can provide insights into its potential as a therapeutic target and its implications in disease treatment and prevention. Therefore, the study of Akr1b3 recombinant protein is pivotal for unraveling its biological roles and exploring novel approaches in drug development and metabolic regulation.
