Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP3A4 plays a crucial role in drug metabolism, influencing the pharmacokinetics of numerous medications. This enzyme is responsible for the oxidative metabolism of approximately 50% of drugs currently in use, making it essential for the biotransformation process in the liver. Variability in CYP3A4 expression and activity due to genetic polymorphisms, environmental factors such as diet and co-administered drugs, or diseases can significantly affect individual responses to medications, leading to therapeutic failure or adverse drug reactions. The production of recombinant CYP3A4 proteins has emerged as a valuable tool for pharmacological research, allowing for the investigation of drug-enzyme interactions, the effects of inhibitors and inducers, and the elucidation of metabolic pathways. Characterizing the recombinant protein provides insights into its catalytic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and regulation. Furthermore, the ability to produce large quantities of purified CYP3A4 facilitates high-throughput screening assays for drug discovery, enabling the identification of new therapeutic agents and the optimization of drug formulations. With the growing focus on personalized medicine, understanding the functional characteristics of CYP3A4 through recombinant technology is critical for predicting drug responses, minimizing adverse effects, and improving overall patient care.
