Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR10Q1 is a member of the olfactory receptor gene family, which plays a crucial role in the sense of smell. This protein is expressed in the olfactory epithelium and is involved in detecting volatile chemical compounds, influencing various biological processes and behaviors. Recent studies have recognized the significance of olfactory receptors beyond olfaction, suggesting potential roles in important physiological functions, including immune response and cell signaling. Given the diverse functions attributed to olfactory receptors, OR10Q1 presents an interesting target for further research. The understanding of its structure and mechanism of action could unveil insights into how olfactory signals are transduced at the molecular level. Furthermore, given its potential involvement in neurodevelopmental disorders and other pathophysiological conditions, characterizing OR10Q1 through recombinant protein studies could lead to novel therapeutic approaches. Current research aims to produce and purify OR10Q1 as a recombinant protein to explore its functionality and interactions in relevant biological pathways. This work may not only enhance our comprehension of olfactory receptor biology but also open new avenues for drug discovery and therapeutic interventions that harness the unique properties of OR10Q1.
