Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ODF2L (Outer Dense Fiber 2-Like) is a vital protein that plays a critical role in the formation and stability of the outer dense fibers of sperm flagella, which are essential for sperm motility and fertility. Research on ODF2L has gained momentum due to its implications in reproductive biology, particularly in understanding male infertility. Studies have shown that decreased expression or mutations in the ODF2L gene can lead to structural defects in sperm, resulting in impaired motility and, consequently, infertility. The protein’s unique structure and function make it a compelling target for recombinant protein studies, enabling scientists to elucidate its biochemical properties and interactions within the sperm flagellum. In addition to its role in fertility, emerging evidence suggests that ODF2L may also be implicated in other cellular processes, including ciliogenesis and cell signaling pathways, broadening its significance beyond reproductive health. As our understanding of the molecular mechanisms behind ODF2L functions advances, it may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies to address male infertility and associated disorders. Therefore, the study of ODF2L recombinant proteins not only enhances our comprehension of sperm biology but also presents opportunities for innovative interventions in reproductive medicine.
