Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RPGRIP1 (Retinitis Pigmentosa GTPase Regulator Interacting Protein 1) is a crucial protein associated with syndromic retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative disorder that leads to vision loss. Mutations in the RPGRIP1 gene are linked to various forms of retinal dystrophies, notably affecting photoreceptor cells in the retina. This has garnered significant attention in the field of molecular genetics and ophthalmology, as understanding the function and interactions of RPGRIP1 can reveal insights into the pathophysiology of retinal diseases. The study of RPGRIP1 recombinant proteins has been pivotal in elucidating its role in ciliary function and phototransduction, contributing to the preservation of photoreceptors. Researchers employ recombinant RPGRIP1 proteins to investigate their biochemical properties and interactions with other proteins involved in photoreceptor maintenance and signaling pathways. Furthermore, these studies provide a foundation for potential therapeutic strategies, including gene therapy and gene editing, aimed at correcting or compensating for the detrimental effects of RPGRIP1 mutations. This ongoing research highlights the importance of RPGRIP1 in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying retinal diseases and developing innovative treatments to combat vision impairment caused by these genetic disorders.
