Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OSBP2, or Oxysterol-binding protein 2, is a member of the OSBP family of proteins, which play vital roles in lipid metabolism, cellular signaling, and membrane dynamics. This protein is particularly significant due to its ability to bind oxysterols, which are derivatives of cholesterol that can influence various cellular processes, including proliferation and apoptosis. Recent studies have suggested that OSBP2 may be involved in the regulation of lipid homeostasis and the transport of lipids between cellular organelles, thereby impacting cell health and function. Furthermore, abnormalities in OSBP2 expression and function have been linked to various diseases, including metabolic disorders and cancer. Given its potential role in these pathological conditions, the recombinant expression of OSBP2 has garnered attention for research aimed at understanding its biological functions and therapeutic implications. By producing and characterizing recombinant OSBP2, researchers aim to elucidate its structure-function relationships, investigate its interactions with other cellular components, and explore its potential as a drug target or biomarker. This research is crucial for developing strategies to modulate lipid-related pathways, ultimately contributing to novel therapeutic approaches for diseases associated with lipid dysregulation.
