Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Nicotinamide mononucleotide adenyltransferase 2 (NMNAT2) is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme essential for various cellular processes, including energy metabolism, DNA repair, and cell signaling. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of NMNAT2 in neuroprotection, with particular attention given to its role in preventing neuronal cell death in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The reduction of NAD+ levels is often observed in aging and various pathological conditions, emphasizing the potential therapeutic benefits of NMNAT2. Recombinant NMNAT2 protein has become a focal point of research due to its ability to restore NAD+ levels and improve cellular resilience against stress-induced damage. The development of recombinant NMNAT2 not only aids in understanding its structural and functional characteristics but also facilitates investigations into its potential as a therapeutic target. Studies employing advanced techniques, such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, aim to elucidate the enzyme's three-dimensional structure and catalytic mechanisms. Furthermore, exploring the effects of NMNAT2 on neuronal health and its interactions with other biomolecules can provide valuable insights into its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Therefore, research on recombinant NMNAT2 protein holds promise for advancing our understanding of NAD+ metabolism and developing innovative strategies for combating age-related diseases and promoting neural health.
