Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TRAK2 (Trafficking Protein, Kinetic 2) is an important protein involved in mitochondrial transport and cellular signaling, playing a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and functioning. Research has shown that TRAK2 interacts with motor proteins within the cytoskeleton, facilitating the movement of mitochondria along microtubules. Dysfunctional TRAK2 activity has been implicated in various neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, where impaired mitochondrial trafficking contributes to neuronal cell death. The recombinant TRAK2 protein has been produced to study its structural and functional properties closely. This includes its role in mitochondrial dynamics, the regulation of apoptosis, and potential involvement in inflammatory responses. Understanding TRAK2's mechanisms through recombinant studies can provide critical insights into its role in health and disease. Additionally, recombinant TRAK2 can serve as a valuable tool for drug development, allowing researchers to screen for compounds that can modulate its activity and explore therapeutic strategies for diseases linked to mitochondrial dysfunction. Overall, the study of TRAK2 and its recombinant form represents a significant area of investigation with implications for understanding mitochondrial biology, neurodegeneration, and potential therapeutic interventions.
