Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NEK6 (NIMA-related kinase 6) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly during mitosis. It is part of the NIMA family of kinases, which are known to be involved in important cellular processes such as mitotic spindle assembly, chromosomal segregation, and repair of DNA damage. Aberrant expression or dysfunction of NEK6 has been associated with various types of cancers, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Research into NEK6 recombinant proteins has gained momentum as scientists aim to better understand its biological functions and molecular mechanisms. These recombinant proteins enable the detailed study of NEK6’s enzymatic activity, interaction with other cellular proteins, and its impact on the mitotic process. Moreover, the characterization of NEK6 in different cellular contexts can provide insights into its role in tumorigenesis and may facilitate the development of selective inhibitors. Such inhibitors could potentially enhance the effectiveness of existing cancer therapies by targeting tumor cells while sparing normal cells. Overall, the exploration of NEK6 recombinant proteins is pivotal for advancing our understanding of cancer biology and for identifying novel strategies to combat malignancies associated with dysregulated cell cycle events.
