  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

IPO7, or Importin 7, is a key protein involved in the nucleocytoplasmic transport of various macromolecules, particularly proteins, through the nuclear pore complex. Its significance arises from its role in mediating the import of proteins containing classical nuclear localization signals. Research on IPO7 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various biological processes and diseases, including cancer, where dysregulation of nucleocytoplasmic transport can lead to abnormal cell proliferation and survival. The protein's ability to influence the nuclear entry of essential regulatory proteins, such as transcription factors, has made it a focus of studies aimed at understanding its contribution to cellular function and regulation. Recent advances in structural biology techniques, including X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, have provided insights into the mechanism of IPO7’s interaction with cargo proteins and its cellular regulation. Furthermore, understanding the functional dynamics of IPO7 can not only enhance our knowledge of basic cellular processes but also open avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting aberrant transport mechanisms in disease contexts. Thus, the study of IPO7 and its associated pathways is critically important for elucidating the complexities of intracellular signaling and gene expression regulation.
