Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RBP4, or Retinol-Binding Protein 4, is a crucial transport protein that plays a pivotal role in the metabolism of vitamin A, influencing various physiological processes including vision, immunity, and cell differentiation. Research into RBP4 has gained momentum due to its association with metabolic disorders such as obesity and insulin resistance, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for these conditions. Additionally, studies have suggested that RBP4 may impact insulin sensitivity by modulating the availability of retinol, which is essential for normal cellular functions. The recombinant expression of RBP4 offers significant advantages for elucidating its biological functions and mechanisms of action, allowing for a detailed investigation of its role in metabolic networks. Moreover, the production of recombinant RBP4 facilitates the development of therapeutic strategies targeting RBP4-related pathways, potentially addressing metabolic diseases. Enhanced understanding of RBP4 through recombinant protein studies can lead to significant advancements in the treatment and prevention of obesity and its related complications, making it a focal point of research in metabolic science.
