Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CCK18, or cholecystokinin-18, is a neuropeptide that plays a crucial role in digestion and satiety regulation, impacting various physiological processes such as appetite control, gallbladder contraction, and pancreatic enzyme secretion. The significance of CCK18 has spurred research aimed at understanding its structure, function, and potential therapeutic applications. As a member of the cholecystokinin family, CCK18 is known to interact with specific receptors in the gastrointestinal system, influencing both central and peripheral pathways involved in energy homeostasis. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have allowed for the efficient production of CCK18, facilitating detailed studies of its biological activity and receptor interactions. Investigating the recombinant form of CCK18 enables researchers to explore its role in signaling pathways and its implications for diseases related to metabolism, obesity, and gastrointestinal disorders. Furthermore, the study of CCK18 has opened new avenues for drug development, where modulating its activity could offer innovative strategies for treating metabolic syndrome and related conditions. The combination of biotechnology and pharmacology in this context represents a promising frontier in health sciences, underscoring the importance of CCK18 in both fundamental research and potential clinical applications.
