稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
XPB (Xeroderma Pigmentosum Group B) is a crucial protein involved in the nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway, which is essential for the removal of bulky DNA lesions caused by environmental factors, such as UV radiation. Mutations in the XPB gene lead to Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP), a rare genetic disorder characterized by extreme sensitivity to sunlight, progressive skin damage, and an increased risk of skin cancer. The XPB protein functions as a DNA helicase, unwinding the DNA strands during the repair process, and plays a pivotal role in maintaining genomic stability. Research into the XPB protein focuses on understanding its structure, function, and the mechanisms underlying its helicase activity. By elucidating these aspects, scientists aim to uncover the molecular basis of XP and develop potential therapeutic strategies to mitigate its debilitating effects. Advances in this field could not only enhance our understanding of NER but also inform broader applications in cancer research and treatment, given the critical relationship between DNA repair mechanisms and tumorigenesis. Understanding XPB's interactions with other repair proteins and the cellular consequences of its dysfunction can provide insights into developing gene therapies or targeted treatments for individuals affected by XP and related disorders. Overall, XPB research holds significant promise in advancing both basic science and clinical applications related to DNA damage response and repair.
