Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MRPL46, a mitochondrial ribosomal protein, plays a vital role in the synthesis of mitochondrial proteins, which are essential for oxidative phosphorylation and cellular respiration. As a member of the mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit, MRPL46 is involved in translating mitochondrial mRNA, contributing to the proper functioning of the mitochondrial machinery. Recent studies have highlighted the significance of mitochondrial ribosomes in cellular metabolism and their implications in various diseases, including mitochondrial disorders and age-related pathologies. Given the emerging evidence linking MRPL46 and mitochondrial function to important cellular processes such as apoptosis and stress responses, understanding its structure and function could provide insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions. The recombinant expression of MRPL46 in model organisms and cell lines offers a valuable approach to investigate its biochemical properties, interactions with other mitochondrial components, and potential role in disease mechanisms. Overall, characterizing MRPL46 as a recombinant protein not only furthers our understanding of mitochondrial biology but also opens avenues for potential therapeutic interventions targeting mitochondrial dysfunction.
