Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VPS4A, a member of the AAA+ ATPase family, plays a crucial role in the endosomal sorting pathway, particularly in the regulation of ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation and the formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs). It is essential for the recycling and trafficking of membrane proteins and lipids, suggesting its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Dysregulation of VPS4A has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, where its function in the endosomal-lysosomal system is often compromised. Recent research has highlighted the necessity of VPS4A in the dissociation of ESCRT (Endosomal Sorting Complex Required for Transport) complexes, which facilitate the sorting of ubiquitinated proteins into MVBs for degradation. Understanding the structure and function of VPS4A is vital for unraveling its mechanisms in cellular processes and its potential implications in disease pathology. Studies focusing on the recombinant expression and purification of VPS4A are pivotal for elucidating its biochemical properties, interactions with other cellular components, and the regulation of its ATPase activity. This research can pave the way for discovering novel therapeutic strategies targeting VPS4A-related pathways in disease contexts.
