Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ABCB7, a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family, plays a critical role in mitochondrial function, particularly in heme and iron metabolism. This protein is predominantly located in the mitochondria, where it is involved in the transport of essential molecules required for various cellular processes. Research has shown that mutations in the ABCB7 gene can lead to disorders such as X-linked sideroblastic anemia, a condition characterized by impaired heme synthesis. Studying the recombinant form of ABCB7 has become vital for understanding its mechanistic functions and interactions within the mitochondrial environment. Recombinant protein production allows for the investigation of ABCB7's structure-function relationship, elucidating how this transporter manages substrate binding and ATP hydrolysis. Furthermore, understanding ABCB7's role can provide insights into broader metabolic pathways, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for related hematological disorders. Given the significance of heme in oxygen transport and the critical role of iron in various biochemical pathways, studying recombinant ABCB7 not only enhances our understanding of basic mitochondrial biology but also opens avenues for addressing clinical conditions stemming from its dysfunction.
