Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX26 is a protein that plays a crucial role in peroxisome biogenesis, which is essential for cellular metabolism and the breakdown of fatty acids. Mutations in the PEX26 gene have been linked to peroxisomal disorders, leading to various neurological and metabolic dysfunctions. Research into the recombinant expression of PEX26 aims to elucidate its structural and functional properties, which can provide insights into the mechanisms of peroxisome formation and maintenance. Understanding PEX26's interactions with other peroxins and its involvement in the import of proteins into peroxisomes is vital for developing therapeutic strategies for related genetic disorders. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of PEX26 in heterologous systems, facilitating detailed biochemical studies and potential applications in gene therapy and biotechnology. By characterizing this protein, researchers hope to gain a deeper understanding of peroxisome dynamics and contribute to potential treatments for peroxisomal biogenesis disorders.
