Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PEX19 is a crucial protein in the biogenesis and maintenance of peroxisomes, organelles involved in various metabolic processes, including fatty acid oxidation and reactive oxygen species detoxification. Its primary role is to facilitate the import of peroxisomal membrane proteins (PMPs) into the peroxisome, which is essential for the proper functioning of these organelles. Mutations in the PEX19 gene have been implicated in several peroxisomal biogenesis disorders, leading to severe metabolic dysfunctions and developmental issues. Research into the structure and function of PEX19 has revealed its complex interaction with PMPs and other peroxins, shedding light on the molecular mechanisms governing peroxisome formation and protein sorting. The study of recombinant PEX19 offers valuable insights into its binding properties and activity, providing a platform for understanding its role in health and disease. Furthermore, unraveling the detailed pathways and mechanisms involving PEX19 not only enhances our knowledge of peroxisomal functions but also opens up potential therapeutic avenues for treating related disorders, underscoring the importance of this protein in cellular metabolism and human health.
