Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Peroxiredoxin 3 (Prx3) is a member of the peroxiredoxin family, which plays a crucial role in cellular antioxidant defense mechanisms by reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS). Located predominantly in the mitochondria, Prx3 is integral in maintaining redox homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative stress, which is linked to various pathological conditions, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and aging. Studies have demonstrated that Prx3 not only acts as an important antioxidant but also participates in cellular signaling pathways, thereby influencing cell proliferation and apoptosis. The recombinant expression of Prx3 in various systems allows for detailed functional studies and structural analysis, providing insights into its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions. Given its potential as a therapeutic target, research efforts are increasingly focused on the production of recombinant Prx3 to explore its biochemical properties and elucidate its role in health and disease. Moreover, understanding the regulation of Prx3 expression and activity may lead to novel strategies for enhancing cellular resilience to oxidative damage, ultimately contributing to the development of new therapeutic approaches in antioxidant therapy.
