Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALOX12B, a member of the lipoxygenase family, plays a crucial role in the metabolism of arachidonic acid and the production of bioactive lipid mediators. Its significance has been highlighted in various biological processes, including inflammation, skin development, and the response to oxidative stress. Mutations in the ALOX12B gene have been linked to congenital disorders such as harlequin ichthyosis, a severe skin disorder characterized by thickened, scaly skin. The recombinant expression of ALOX12B protein allows researchers to elucidate its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions with other cellular pathways. By studying this protein in a controlled setting, scientists aim to gain insights into its role in lipid signaling and its potential therapeutic applications in skin-related diseases and inflammatory conditions. The generation of ALOX12B recombinant protein not only enhances our understanding of its biological functions but also paves the way for the development of novel treatments targeting aberrant lipid metabolism and associated pathologies.
