稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) is a unique serpin that has garnered significant attention in medical research due to its diverse biological roles, particularly in neuroprotection, anti-angiogenesis, and cancer inhibition. Initially discovered as a retinal pigment epithelium-secreted protein, PEDF plays a crucial role in the maintenance of retinal health and has been implicated in various ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Beyond ocular applications, PEDF is recognized for its neuroprotective properties, showing promise in protecting neuronal cells from degeneration due to oxidative stress and apoptosis. Research has also highlighted its anti-angiogenic effects, making it a potential therapeutic candidate for inhibiting pathological blood vessel formation in tumors and other diseases. Furthermore, studies investigating the recombinant production of PEDF protein have aimed to explore its functional mechanisms in numerous biological pathways, enabling better understanding and potential applications in regenerative medicine and cancer therapy. The development of effective recombinant PEDF has opened new avenues for therapeutic intervention, making it an attractive focus of research in pharmacology and biotechnology.
